Account and campaign background
Surf has been communicating its core range for the first half of the year, using BBH’s previous campaign, 'Duvet'. In a recession environment, Surf is doing very well, with a market share in constant progression. The brand is being launched in more and more markets (across Europe and globally) and is now becoming a major player in the Unilever laundry business portfolio. In that context, Surf has decided to launch a new range, inspired by the world of fine fragrance: Twilight Sensations.
Brief To launch the new fragrance range, Surf Twilight Sensations.
Creative Idea The scent of Surf Twilight Sensations on your laundry transports you to the mysterious world of twilight.
Production To create the mysterious world of twilight, the tv commercial has been entirely shot in camera, with very limited use of CGI. All the shadows were actually created behind long sheets, working with one of the world’s most talented shadow puppeteers.
